Dr. Guler received his PhD from Northwestern University, Department of Chemistry, Evanston, IL under the supervision of Prof. Samuel I. Stupp. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Medicine, Institute for Bionanotechnology for Medicine at the Northwestern University, Chicago, IL. He started his early career as professor of materials science and nanotechnology at Bilkent University. He was also a visiting professor at the Northwestern University. He has been working at the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC). He acted as an associate editor for the journal of RSC Advances. He is an editorial board member of journals of ACS Biomaterials Science & Engineering, Scientific Reports (Nature Publishing Group), Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) Advances, and Molecules, MDPI.
